Dealing with Scams and Phishing emails

There is an email scam currently in operation asking people to purchase vouchers on someone else's behalf.
Please be assured that we would never email asking you to buy something for us or ask you to send one of us money.

It is a very clever scam because it encourages a dialogue with the sender.  It is easy to think that you are in conversation with someone you know because the scam email address mimics a real address.  The content of the emails also can mimic a genuine conversation.  All our email addresses follow this pattern 'name@stmatthewskt6.org', we do not use any email addresses that are like this 'name.stmatthewskt6@gmail.com' or variations of that.
If at any point, you think you have received a scam email you can forward it to this address: report@phishing.gov.uk
